In the XL set up with a centre fin it is a great board for the beginner and to practice advanced light wind techniques (XL-level) . Having good knowledge of the board and skills from XL-set up, will make the next step much easier, to enter the planing phase (L-shape) and become a master of high wind sailing (M-shape).

About the windsurfing board and sail
A windsurfing kit has limited use based on the fundamental principle that a large board floats better and is faster in lighter winds while a smaller board shape is faster and more manageable in more wind (planing). The same goes for sails - use larger sails in light winds to catch more wind and get more speed, if the wind is stronger a large sail will be difficult to hold and a smaller sail size should be used. This principle applies no matter how skilled you are. With Dynamic Windsurfing, you can optimise the number of successful surf days by adjusting board shape and sail size to the prevailing conditions and achieve harmony with the powerful forces of nature.

Windsurfing is a board sport performed in interaction with nature. Wind, waves and currents guide your path through the water, providing you as a practitioner with an allround physical workout and nature experience.
